Building the Future Through Play, Story & Strategy
The Game Design Pathway introduces students to one of the fastest-growing spaces in the creative and technology economy. This pathway helps scholars explore how storytelling, design thinking, character development, visual worlds, user experience, strategy, and interactive media come together to create meaningful digital experiences.
Through CDMA’s Creative Media Hub, students are exposed to game design as both a creative discipline and a business opportunity. The pathway encourages imagination, problem-solving, collaboration, and technical curiosity while helping students understand the career possibilities connected to gaming, animation, digital storytelling, simulation, and interactive entertainment.
Pathway Highlights:
Interactive Storytelling — Students explore how games use characters, worlds, choices, and challenges to create engaging experiences.
Design Thinking — Scholars are introduced to creativity, logic, problem-solving, and user-centered thinking.
Creative Technology Exposure — Students gain awareness of how art, sound, coding, media, and design connect inside the gaming industry.
Career Pathway Awareness — The pathway connects students to opportunities in game design, animation, digital art, esports, storytelling, simulation, and creative entrepreneurship.
The Game Design Pathway helps students see gaming as more than entertainment — it is a gateway to storytelling, technology, innovation, and the future of interactive media.
